The Willingham Family
This project was done as an assignment for a character design class. The assignment was to create a family. I decided I wanted to do a less conventional family, known to bully others. Thus, The Willingham Family was born. The family consists of the father, known only as Mr. Willingham, and the children Socks, Danika, and Leo. The children are all adopted which can be seen in their varying designs and vary in style. Each member of the family represents a different way to hurt others.
Process
The assignment started with working out the design for each family member. I wanted each character to look distinctly different from the others. However, I still wanted them to look like a cohesive family. I tried to stick to an overall color palette for them while giving each character their own style.
